Our Philosophy  

The Montessori Academy’s academic preschool and Kindergarten program is based on the philosophies of Dr. Maria Montessori.  The classroom is a prepared environment in which all children learn through a gently guided and individualized approach.  The environment promotes self-discipline, good manners, and respect for oneself and others.

The Montessori Academy believes that each child is a special, unique individual with much to offer the world.  We believe that each child is a gift from God, and within each child there are many wonderful hidden treasures.  We want to expose those hidden treasures by providing children with a nurturing, respectful, and academic learning environment. At the Montessori Academy we aspire to create an environment that will be the foundation for all life experiences that lie ahead of your child.

Under the guidance of a trained Montessori and Early Childhood Educator, no child is pushed or stifled to move on before he/she is ready.  The children are given the freedom to move about the classroom and chose their own activities.  The Academy is equipped with a wide-variety of specialized materials, which encourage the children to discover their own knowledge and abilities.

We stress the process of learning rather than the end result, but most importantly we want to instill in the children a love of learning that will last a lifetime!
